Alison Grenier-Poupel, Intern

Alison Grenier-Poupel is a psychology student completing her undergraduate degree through Paris 8 University, with a developing clinical interest in older-adult care, rehabilitation, palliative care, and emotional support during life transitions. She has gained experience observing clinical psychology sessions in a rehabilitation setting for older adults at Fellowship Village in New Jersey and participating in professional case-discussion meetings.

Alison also volunteers with Center for Hope, supporting palliative-care patients and their families through companionship and active listening. In addition, she has volunteered with JBWS’s Crisis Response Team, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, safety-planning assistance, and information about community resources to survivors of violence.

Before moving into psychology, Alison held leadership and administrative roles within France’s Ministry of Culture, where she managed teams, complex projects, and substantial public budgets. This background strengthened her skills in evidence-informed decision-making, active listening, collaboration, and helping individuals and teams navigate change.
